The Government of NCT of Delhi has officially revised the minimum wages for all scheduled employments, effective 1 april 2025.
This update, issued by the Labour Department, includes a fresh dearness allowance da adjustment based on the average Consumer Price Index (CPI) from July to December 2024, marking an increase of 11.32 points.

Dearness Allowance Linked to CPI
As per previous guidelines, the DA is calculated based on the six-monthly average of the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI). The current adjustment reflects the index average of 413.42 (July–December 2024), ensuring that wage rates keep pace with the rising cost of living.
Important for Employers: Stay Compliant
Any violation of minimum wage laws can lead to penalties under the Minimum Wages Act. Employers must:
- Update their payroll systems to reflect revised wages
- Ensure workers are paid according to the new rates from April 1, 2025
